Professor William McIntosh began his career in Otorhinolaryngology at Johannesburg Hospital and the University of the Witwatersrand in 1969. As head of the division from 1982, he trained numerous specialists, significantly advancing ENT surgery. He pioneered subspecialties, established a state-of-the-art microsurgery lab, and introduced innovative techniques. An honorary professor and consultant, he is recognized globally for his contributions to medical education and practice. Now, he serves as a medico-legal expert.
